Ivory River House Project Reveal

It’s time for the Ivory River House final reveal! This project was a full kitchen and pantry renovation. Also included in this project was furnishing and styling the living room. This house was built about 17 years ago and was due for a remodel. The previous style of this home was very farmhouse, so we had to change that. This client wanted a neutral, timeless kitchen with durability and function as its main focus. For that reason, we used a combination of quartz and granite countertops that will be extremely durable for a large family. For the cabinet color, we opted for a muddy tan that we also used on the open shelving, spice rack and in the pantry.

The previous kitchen had a lot of upper cabinetry that made the space feel heavy. So we removed the upper cabinets and replaced them with a plaster hood and open shelving. To be more cost-effective, we kept the existing cabinetry and had it all repainted. I think it turned out beautiful! The spice rack is one of my favorite features in this kitchen. A spice rack is such a fun addition to a kitchen, not to mention it’s functional! I thought it would be fun to show what it looked like before and what it looks like now. Enjoy the next couple before and afters.

These doors were sentimental to our client- she got them out of a foreclosed house and had them built-in to the original framework 17 years ago. They are solid wood and absolutely gorgeous so we decided to repaint them and give them new life.

Since the existing floorplan didn’t allow for a larger pantry we decided to make the most out of the existing one. This pantry is 5’x5’ so we knew we had to make the space function well. We designed these drawers to have ventilation so that fruit and vegetables could be stored out of sight. We also included a lazy susan in the corner for easy access to all baking goods.

We are so happy with how this European-inspired kitchen and pantry project turned out! If you would like to view more photos of this project click here. You can checkout our other projects on our Portfolio page.
